Got an early foil lesson this morning, looks like the little man under my board will be blessed with this kind of view again.

3am significant buoy readings and discussion
South shore
Barbers

1.9ft @ 14s from 187° (S)
1.3ft @ 11s from 183° (S)

Lanai

1.9ft @ 14s from 177° (S)
1.1ft @ 11s from 184° (S)

Almost 2ft 14s at both the local buoys should provide for some slightly bigger waves than yesterday, so hopefully around the waist/belly high range. Too dark for the webcam at the time I post this, so check it out yourself.

North shore
Mokapu
4.2ft @ 8s from 63° (ENE)

Hilo
5.2ft @ 8s from 61° (ENE)

Windswell holding in there, waist to occasionally chest high waves at Hookipa, slightly bigger on eastern exposures, which should be blessed by the lack of wind in the early morning hours, thanks to the cloud cover.

Wind map at noon.

North Pacific has a tiny/weak NNW fetch and the windswell one.

South Pacific has a strong fetch, but it’s oriented towards Fiji, not us. Never had a big SE swell over there, I’m gonna guess Cloudbreak will peel a little more mellow point-break style, but I could be completely wrong as other reefs might come into play. No waves generated for us today.

Morning sky.
