Introducing surfer / shaper No. 3: Harry Bryant
“One 6’2 diamond tail single fin that could be a good board, or a complete plug. The other is a ’90s 6’6” semi-gun thruster, that could also be a plug.”
“I’ve been watching a heap of old surf movies and wanted to replicate a board Joel Fitzgerald was riding in “Litmus”. Really knifey, with lots of nose rocker, thin/low rails, and a pulled in swallow tail.”
“My shaper [Emery Surfboards] helped me, there’s a lot of steps to hand-shaping, and as I have a pretty slow, un-developed brain, it was great to have Al [Emery] there to guide me through.”
“I did the World Junior Championships at Ribeira a few years ago. It was in the middle of winter and it was windy, rainy and f–ken freezing. I’m looking forward to going back this time in a better season.”
“The wave reminds me a lot of Bells. If the point gets big, I’m excited to ride the 6’6”, watch everyone rip, try a bunch of different boards, and have a hell time.”
