Last year, Hilton Honors program introduced Diamond Status extensions for elite travelers who didn’t re-qualify for any reason, and the deadline to apply for status extensions through March 2019 is rapidly approaching.
Diamond Hilton members who didn’t stay 60 nights in a calendar year have until March 28 to extend their status for another year. The program is designed for those guests whose travel slowed down for personal reasons, such as becoming a new parent, switching careers or enrolling in college classes.
To submit a status extension request, please complete this form. Keep in mind that as a Diamond member you can extend your status for one more year once per lifetime, so make sure to use the option when you really need it.
To qualify for status extension, eligible Hilton Honors members must have earned Diamond status for at least three years in the past (doesn’t have to be consecutively), currently be a Diamond Elite member and have hit one of the following requirements: completed at least 250 nights (both revenue and reward) or have accumulated at least 500,000 Base Points over the course of a Hilton membership.
Starting later this year, Diamond members who stay at Hilton properties at least 100 nights will be able to gift their Diamond status to another member. Gold members will be able to gift their status to someone else after staying 60 nights in a calendar year.
Will this be the year you request a status extension from Hilton?
