Saturday 7 6 19 morning call

Sorry, no surf photos, let’s change it up a bit with a beautiful photo posted by my friend Shantelle , on which I commented: “Of course he’s constantly on top of the world. He doesn’t have a human mind telling him he shouldn’t be…”

3am significant buoy readings
Barbers
2.1ft @ 14s from 193° (SSW)

2ft @ 10s from 187° (S)
1.5ft @ 20s from 189° (S)

Lanai
2.2ft @ 5s from 151° (SSE)

2ft @ 9s from 190° (S)
2ft @ 14s from 185° (S)
2ft @ 20s from 187° (S)

New long period swell is at 2ft 20s, while the old one is at 2ft 14s. This summer is incredible and more big swells are predicted for mid July. Check the webcam before going.

North shore
Mokapu
3.1ft @ 14s from 96° (E)

Hilo
3.8ft @ 14s from 101° (ESE)

Long period east Barbara swell is at the buoys. Smaller than the Surfline prediction. Hookipa is flat and I don’t think waiehu will have much either. Trades are about to make a bit of a come back, so hit it before 8-9am is my recommendation.

Wind map at noon.

North Pacific has two small NW fetches and the E one of the approaching but weakening Barbara.

South Pacific has scattered fetches.

Morning sky.
