Indoor skydiving to land in Chesterfield – KSDK.com

iFly, a global operator of indoor skydiving centers, plans to open its first St. Louis location in 2020.

The company has submitted plans to the city of Chesterfield to open a facility just east of Topgolf and a proposed Residence Inn along Interstate 64. Summit Ice Center Investors LLC owns the land where iFly would be built, documents show. Investment costs were not disclosed.

The location, which will be company owned and operated, is expected to open in the first quarter of 2020 and employ about 25 people, a company spokesman said.

iFly offers guests a simulated skydiving experience in a vertical wind tunnel. Costs vary but a first-time flyer package starts at $59.95, according to its website. iFly opened its first tunnel in 1998 and has flown nearly 10 million people across its more than 70 global locations.
