Recently my brother shared this amazing short film by free diver Guillame Nery. I liked is so much that I looked him up and found this also interesting TED talk.
4am significant buoy readings
1.1ft @ 15s from 206° (SSW)
1.3ft @ 11s from 176° (S)
3.3ft @ 7s from 70° (ENE)
Pure and relatively small windswell at the buoy, Hookipa is going to be close to flat, better size could be found on the east facing shores.
South Pacific has an intricate array of lows and fetches. The red ones are the ones aimed directly at us, but the biggest strongest one is the blue one which is aimed to central America, and we might get some angular spreading out of it.
