After every Duct Tape Invitational, there’s a celebration that rolls on into the night. If given a choice, many people would love nothing more than to nurse their inevitable hangovers by lounging at a pool the following day.

That’s essentially what the Duct Tape Festival crew got into last month in Spain’s Basque Country. Only this wasn’t your regular, everyday pool. It was the home base of Wavegarden, at their newish “Cove System” pool.

This testing facility at the Wavegarden Headquarters admittedly does not compare to the latest and greatest wave pools you’ve seen throughout social media feeds. What it does, is pump out ultra-fun, three foot waves in six second intervals, which makes for some seriously good times with minimal stress levels if you blow your turn.

Stab was on hand to cover the action with a three-minute highlight reel featuring Dane Reynolds, Alex Knost, Tanner Gudauskas, Lee-Ann Curren and Joel Tudor, you can watch right here

Or just enjoy a few moments captured by Vans photographer Jimmicane and wait for one of these full-sized Cove Systems to pop up in a town near you!
