3 die in mountain climbing in western Austria

VIENNA, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) — Three people died on Wednesday afternoon in mountain climbing accidents in Tyrol, western Austria, local media reported.

Two mountain climbers died in the province of Wilden Kaiser, while on a difficult climbing tour in the mountain. Further information on their identities and the cause of the accident are still unknown.

Later, another mountain accident happened at Scharnitz, not far from Innsbruck. The person fell and suffered fatal injuries, said a police spokeswoman. The search for the body is still underway.
